So Rimar just popped onto my radar and I am so grateful. Bandcamp is amazing in that it gives so many musicians an opportunity to get there stuff out to the public. Too much good music available for virtually nothing. Anyhow. Rimar apparently is a producer who makes chilled-out r&b/soul/disco influenced electronic music that is so good it has PRETTY MUCH HIJACKED my stereo. He has two albums and a dope remix of Mario's (now classic) "Let Me Love You", all available for little or no money here. His latest album Higher Ground (free here) is chock full of music perfect for summer. From the old-school snap and funky vocals of the title track, which has a vibe similar to Prince or early MJ, to the Nas sampling "Beginners" you will not be disappointed.
